Age rating

This page publishes the age rating of Boplings, the game made by Todd Lahman LLC, and the rules used to set it, as Iceland's Act No. 62/2006 on children's access to films and video games asks of anyone offering a video game in Iceland.

The rating

Boplings is suitable for ages 7 and up.

What the game contains: puzzle play with cartoon creatures, with no violence, nothing frightening, no bad language, no sexual content, no drugs or alcohol, no gambling, no chat and nothing written or made by other players. A free daily wheel and daily rewards encourage players to come back, which is why the rating is 7 and not 3.

Purchases and time-limited offers, which would rate 12, are shown only to players 18 and older. The game asks every player's age at first launch, and players under 18, or whose age the game doesn't know, play free, with no purchases and no offers. One optional ad, which plays only when the player taps to watch it, is offered to players 13 and older, never to anyone younger.

This rating is set by Todd Lahman LLC under the rules below, which follow PEGI's published criteria. It is not a rating issued by PEGI. On the App Store, Apple shows its own rating, 4+, set with Apple's questions.

How the rating is set

We rate the game ourselves, using the criteria that PEGI (Pan European Game Information) publishes for its age categories (3, 7, 12, 16 and 18), including its June 2026 criteria for purchases and other interactive features.

We play the game as released and check every part of it against those criteria: what it shows (violence, fear, language, sexual content, drugs, gambling and discrimination) and how it plays (purchases, time-limited offers, random rewards, rewards for coming back, contact with other players, and ads).

The rating is the highest age that any part reaches, counting only the parts a player of that age can see. Parts the game shows only to players it knows are 18 or older are named beside the rating instead of raising it.

We check the rating again before every update that adds content or changes how the game plays. Any change is recorded below with its date, and every advertisement or promotional text for the game that we publish states the rating.
